Pillar of Blooms

Tree Trunk Lamp

The “Pillar of Blooms” is a majestic piece that exhibits nature’s brand of organized chaos. It features a highly intricate layout of flowers and vines crawling up the trunk, each of them ornately detailed and carved on a solid piece of reclaimed red lauan wood.

The piece is reminiscent of a tree in a rainforest. In the light, it appears surrounded by rich flora—further enhanced with the use of color that binds each element together into a single, seamless image, while in the dark, the intricacy of the sculpture’s form comes into play as it produces a complex and whimsical shadow from the light inserted at the base.

Detailing on this piece was done with the intention to present an easy and natural flow of flowers and color, making it a masterfully crafted feast for the eyes.
